Minor’s Account

Minor's account is opened by the following:
• Under the natural guardianship of his father or the legal guardianship.
• A minor under legal guardianship by court order.
• Minors hiba (donation) accounts (The donation shall be valid regardless of the degree of kinship between the donor and the recipient subject to filling out the donation account declaration in favor of the minor).
• Minor's accounts (opened by the mother as a donation).
• Joint accounts:
- - There is no objection to open a joint account between a father, mother and minor.
- - A joint account can be opened between a grandparent and a minor, provided that the natural guardian approves the account opening.
Key Features:
• Account Ownership: The account is opened in the minor’s name, and the guardian or custodian manages it.
• The natural guardian or donating mother handles withdrawals, deposits, and all banking transactions on behalf of the minor.
Debit Cards Issuance:
• Issuance of main debit cards in the name of the minor under the guardian/the donating mother or the hiba (donation) account on the minor’s account is permitted, provided that the minor is not younger than 18 years, with the guardian’s / donating mother signature required for the card issuance.
• Issuance of supplementary debit cards in the name of the minor for a minor under the guardian/The donating mother or the hiba (donation) account on the minor’s account is permitted, provided that the minor is not younger than 16 years, with the guardian’s signature required for the card issuance.
Credit Card Issuance:
• Issuance of a credit card in the name of the guardian/ mother on the minor’s account is permitted, provided it is a secured card.
